I don't want to post a direct link, but there's plenty of blogs that address the topic of points. Do some research. If you Google "mr transfer partners", the first hit will be a link to all the partners MR points can be transfered to. Then search for "xxx points value" and you will find articles that will tell you how your points can be turned into actual tickets. There's plenty of options with 25000 points that are worth more than 1c per point.
Virgin America might still be a good option but be advised MR to Virgin America are 2:1. MR to Virgin Atlantic is 1:1. American AAdvantage Saver award available can be very limited so the BA transfer might be a problem too.
