I thought they were for my decline CLI from capital one but they were from barclay. three different pre qual cards congrats. Rewards World, Rewards Platinum, and Ring. I did a little research and jumped the gun and used the pre qual for Ring. I applied and got the dreaded 10 day mail notice. What are my odds of approval and which report do they pull? my current scores are pretty sub par.
EX: 691
TU: 671
EQ: 692.
I thought the mail pre quals were guaranteed :/ But i hope they pull from EX or EQ
1. Sorry, but Barclays always pulls TU.
2. The Rewards Card is one of their easiest cards to get; the Ring card is their hardest card to get. The Ring card is my favorite credit card in the world, but the Rewards card is one of my most useful cards... getting 2% cash back on groceries and utilities which are big spends for me.
My advice: if you get denied for Ring, just let it be, and come back 6 or more months later, when your TU score is much stronger. Whether you get approved for Ring or denied, go ahead and apply for the Rewards card; in my book it's a keeper. But don't apply if you have 13 inquiries on your TU report; Barclays is hyper sensitive about recent inquiries.
