I've only been building credit for about a year. I have 2 BoA accounts that are roughly 9months old each. One started at $1k limit (now at $3800) and another at $500 (from secured to unsecured and is now $2000 limit). I always paid my statements weeks before they're due. I have no negatives at all. But have quite alot of inqs. My utl is ~1% but thats it.

2 accounts about 9 months old each should not be any problem, if you have to recon. I had about 20 accounts in the last 6 months with only 1 account less than a year old, which was my oldest and i had to recon my Rewards MC app and i got approved for $1K. Same night i app'ed for Apple Rewards, and that was an instant approval of $2K. They seem to be less strict about Apple card as i am sure they have a quota to fill to keep Apple. How many inq's with TU in the last 12 months and 2 years?

I have13 inqs. from 3/7/2015 up until now. I was new to credit and didnt know anything about apping, up until now. most recent are from BoA which were 2 request CLI

That is almost a year. So you should be able to get away with it if you have to call in to recon. Your utilization is good and your score is decent too. So i think you should have a good shot at reconning your app. The only thing is Ring is a very low interest rate card and their UW is probably a little more stricter for the Ring card compared to the others. I would consider apple rewards, and if you get instant approval, when you call to recon for Ring card, you might even ask them to take some of the available credit from Apple account if it will help you open the Ring account. Did you app for Ring today? If so, if you apply for Apple right away, it will be one inquiry instead of 2. At this point, you dont have anything to lose. You can even call them now to talk for your ring card. Tell them it is not only aout the card but you would like to be a part of the Ring Community. That should make them happy to hear it Smiley Happy

HEre is the number to cal: Barclays: 866-205-5973 (credit analyst 24 hours)

I just called their recon number, and told my that my hard inqs were their reason to deny me. and that i need to establish my credit a little bit longer

Did you app for it today?
