This is a point people don't quite get with US Bank, so we often have to point it out: Getting a lesser card when you wanted the Cash+ is not a fail, it's an opportunity to work that lesser card for a while, then see about a PC to Cash+ if the limit gets over $5k. Many here have done this.
My CL on the Cash Rewards is $1,500. It's by far my lowest CL, but at the same time I only put about $20-$30 on it a month (and not even every month), so I certainly see why they wouldn't be eager to give me an auto CLI and I haven't asked for one.
I did ask to do a PC to the Cash+ a few months back, but it wasn't eligible, I suppose because of the low limit. They did offer me some bonus reward points though, which I thought was a really nice concession. I'd have been happy with nothing. I was just asking on the outside chance they'd go for it.
My other Visa/Mastercard cards are all WMC or Visa Sig and my Fico 8 scores are 800+. So I suppose I qualify from that standpoint, just not use.
