Re: will chase approve me in the future?

As a point of consideration for the OP -

I had a Washington Mutual Bank cc that went into collections I think in 2006 (eventually paid off the debt collector), but during the big financial crisis when WAMU collapsed, Chase bought their accounts. Last summer when I applied for a Chase AARP Visa, they denied me based on that WAMU card. When i called to recon, they told me that my application was auto-denied, but that he could see that i have been working on improving my credit in the years since, and that after 6 months or so with more cards I should be able to get in with Chase.

No coincidence then that almost 6 months on the dot after having my CapitalOne QS, I began to see Freedom on the Chase prequal site where previously nothing would come up.
