Any Citi card holders not get FICO update?

In chatting with a few people in another thread, I found that all of us had our last FICO score update on our Citi cards on 12/26/17.  Anyone else experience the same thing?  I'm curious if perhaps there have been up updates yet in 2018 or what the deal is.  Any info or data here would be helpful.  Thank you.

Once a new CVV and expiration date are generated (regardless of acct number) the former "product" types are no longer valid.  Try using one for kicks and giggles.

So...after watching all of the Super Bowl ads, I know what I want as my reward from gardening--besides the obvious improved credit...I'm going to need that new Jeep Wrangler. That's it. With good financing terms. That's it. I'm easy. Maybe a house the next year...but, that's assuming I like my new "duty" location.

A new Wrangler :-)

Have a great night!

Happy gardening!

Did not see a Jeep Wrangler add. We are looking at a new Jeep Wrangler Sport S Unlimited. That is our goal for the year.  If the Dow & Bitcoin keep dropping we may be able to pay cash and stay inthe garden.  (Biz runs counter to Dow)   We have been gardening for Navy  pull later this year,

I got a SL of $10k in December. I requested a CLI to $20k at the end of December and got denied. Something like insufficient experience at current limit. I tried again at the end of January and got denied again. Called the credit dept and the lady declined it too saying denial letter will explain. I’m sure it’ll be the same reason. I figured it’s too soon but it’s a SP with Synchrony so I’ll continue to bug them.

@kilroy8..    saw your post in that "other" place..   congrats on that and the seedling..    do you dislike cards that arent blue? Everything having to be the same color seems kind of "ify" to me  Smiley LOL

When you activate a new card, the new CVV takes effect. That would pretty much render the old cards useless.

You're likely to be OK under most circumstances if you use the previous expiration date. Recurring payments will likely continue until the previous expiration date has passed. Still, I'd recommend updating any recurring payments just in case.

Although it appears to update each month (give or take - not the same date though), the have a disclaimer.  It's possible it may update at a later point.

Important items to note:

  • We may not receive a new score for you each month. You won’t see a score if we did not receive one for a given month.

Stuck at 12/26/2017 too. I was thinking they would update this Monday, but apparently they are even slower than I expect.

Opened my boa secured card $500 in May 2018 with my scores around 620....auto cli in November 2017 bumped me up to $900, by this time my scores were low 700s. Just last week received $500 security returned and 2 days after that got the congratulatory email for going from secured to unsecured.

I did call the day I received the check to inquire about CLI. The representative told me it would basically be a HP and that they pull transunion.

Best of luck !

Yes...I had the Sport S Unlimited...I loved the 4 doors...it was a lease, so I had to give it back in 2012. That's around the time my financial situation took a turn for the worse. I drive a Jeep Liberty now...I like it...but, it's no Wrangler. I love Wranglers! I went to Jeep Camp and Jeep 101 when I had it.

Good luck!

Heh. Odd that you should specifically mention Chase. DW was using Freedom card a while back and mentioned that she needed a new card. She was using the old pre-VS Freedom card, that was part of the PC fiasco I had last spring. She was using it with no problems, even though it had been reissued as a FU, FU VS, and then the correct F VS (all in the span of a weekend).

Edit: Also Discover cards will continue to work unless you specifically deactivate them until the card is expired.

Oh! There were two--that I remember...the "Anti-Manifesto"...and the Jurassic--where it starts chasing the dinosaur, lol

I'm not sure why you're surprised. Barclays is a pathetic card issuer consisting of mostly co-brand cards, and a few cards they keep yanking and reviving a year or so later (Ring and Cash Forward come to mind). About the only good, competitive cards they have are Jet Blue and Uber.

People here already know Barclays is pathetic, especially compared to AMEX who is known to overnight cards for free without one asking, or offers cards that actually have some travel benefits to them.

Well, Uber is currently a very competitive card, 4% on dining with no AF.  And in the past Barclays had the Sallie Mae.   And Amex has the Plenti!

Barclays hate here isn't really related to card selection (Citi's is pretty bad as well) but more to the AA experienced by some members of the forum, presumably because of the atypical nature of the behavior of the credit lovers here.

But I do agree about their charge for overnighting a new credit card is bad.   (Although needing the overnighting of a new, rather than replacement, card is very much a first world issue!)
